EARLY BIRD SESSION PRICE: $500 (normally $700)

• A non-refundable retainer of $150 is due at booking to hold your date. 
• The remaining balance is due at your session.

SESSION ADD-ONS: 

• Additional person fee - $50 per person
• Print collections starting at $375
• Artisan portrait albums starting at $500
• Holiday cards starting at $250
• Travel fees - $100 if over 25 miles from 47274

STEP 1: CHOOSE THE DATE

You will select an available evening for your family portrait session from the booking calendar. As the date grows closer, I will monitor the weather. If inclimate weather is forecast for your session date, we will reschedule to the next available date. 

Please note, sessions are held Monday-Wednesday evenings only.

STEP 2: PAY THE RETAINER

After selecting the week for your session, you will be prompted to pay the session retainer. That retainer holds your family's spot in my calendar and ensures that your family is the only one on the books for that week.

STEP 3: CHOOSE A LOCATION

I have some favorite outdoor family portrait locations, but am always down for a new location if there is somewhere special to your family. I'll be in touch in the weeks before your scheduled session date to help you select your family portrait location.

STEP 4: CHOOSE YOUR OUTFITS

Ok, let's be honest... this is the hardest part of scheduling family portraits! It doesn't have to be, though! My suggestions to you are to keep it simple. But not boring! Go with complimenting colors on the color wheel. Be mindful of the season you've booked your session and choose a color palette to fit that timeframe. Avoid conflicting patterns. Also, never go with matchy-matchy outfits (ie: white shirts and khaki pants or solid color shirts and blue jeans). Leave the logos off clothing as much as possible. Adding in layers and different textures through accessories is always a great idea! If you're truly stuck, do a quick Pinterest search! 

STEP 5: SHOW UP AND HAVE FUN!

You want your family's portrait experience to be enjoyable for everyone. Leave the prompts and posing to me. Please don't stand behind or beside me to get your child's attention unless I ask you to do so. 

Let your children know that you're going to take some family portraits. Enthusiastically explain that it's going to be a fun moment for your family to sing, dance, and play in front of the camera. Don't threaten your children before or during the family portrait session. While I don't love to have rewards as part of the experience, if you feel it will be beneficial to your child, please bring small rewards that can be easily hidden and/or consumed quickly (ie: M&Ms, Smarties, Gummy Bears).
